Olympics Fashion Influences Men’s Wear

The Olympics fashion has gotten much more hip over the years especially when Ralph Lauren entered the game. Now the international stage has been a platform for designers to grow their brand recognition — and sales. H&M’s launched a line of ceremony and competition wear for athletes inspired by the Olympics and showcases sportswear for men that went on sale last month. Also RalphLauren.com features a Team USA collection section, where consumers can shop for various Olympic-themed T-shirts, polos, swim trunks, track pants and more. But I noticed the jackets of the swim team and I thought, those are really cool, where can I get one. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says it well:

‘The feeling of watching Team USA’s topnotch athletes step onto one of the largest stages in the world wearing Polo Ralph Lauren is pretty hard to beat,’ says David Lauren, the brand’s executive vice president of global advertising, marketing and communications — and son of designer Ralph Lauren. ‘As a company, it’s an honor to be able to do our part in supporting the team and its future.’

Wow I like the new athleisure wear especially the swimwear inspire crew neck tops. Still, speedos – no bueno.
